Medical Office Administration Diploma in Vancouver
This course was developed by DEA Canadian College to meet the requirements for Medical Office Administration.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
- Medical Office Administration performs a variety of duties in doctor’s offices, dental offices, hospitals, medical clinics and other medical settings and includes a variety of administrative duties in support of managerial and health care professionals.
- The Medical Office Administration program provides a base entry-level career path for international and resident students to gain the competencies to assist (under the supervision and work along-side health care professionals and with patients in a medical office setting).
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- Upon completing all the requirements for graduate students will receive a certificate from DEA College.
Admission Requirements
- A Canadian Secondary School Diploma; GED certificate; or evidence of successful completion of at least 12 years of secondary study. Or being 19 years old. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through with prior education in English at grade 10 level or higher or through an English language assessment (IELTS 5.5 certificate or evidence of an standard test score equivalency).

Note: Students may be required to provide additional information/ documentation. For example, a copy of government issued identification; acknowledgement of student handbook/ polices; international students require evidence of a valid study permit. Prior to the practicum students will need to have completed a basic first aid course. The College will provide options where the training can be completed.
ALL STUDENTS MUST:
- Students must be 19 years or older
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 or equivalent ( i.e. TOEFL IBT)
- Or students can take the DEA proficiency exam
